Hybrid Forecasting Methods—A Systematic Review

Time series forecasting has been performed for decades in both science and industry. The models have evolved steadily over time. Statistical methods used many years were later complemented by neural network approaches. Currently, hybrid approaches are increasingly presented, aiming to combine methods’ advantages. These could lead more accurate predictions enhance improve visual analytics systems making decisions or supporting the decision-making process. In this work, we conducted a systematic literature review using PRISMA methodology investigated various detail. exact procedure searching filtering databases which search documented supplemented flow chart. From total of 1435 results, included 21 works through steps exclusion criteria. We examined these detail collected quality prediction results. summarized error values table investigate whether deliver better concluded that all perform than individual ones. Based on results study, possible applications decision discussed illustrated an exemplary visualization.
